MANAGING NETWORKS in contemporary careers work

Moving on

The Career-learning Café

Contemporary careers work must be designed and managed to engage a wide and developing network of local contacts. Yet, little attention has - so far - been given to what this means for managing a local programme.

The more we need to involve social and youth workers and voluntary workers, then the more important these local arrangements become.

The more we want people to see the links between their lives as workers, as citizens and their stakeholding in the community, then the more important the local network becomes.

The Career-Learning Café continues to develop useful ideas for careers citizenship and Connexions:

> network managing careers
> management tools for programme managers.
